Won't start

Again On my 89 Festiva 1.3 efI checked the fuel pump as directed by running a 12 volt hot wire to the pump- the pump worked,I took the fuel line off at the fuel intake inlet ,then cranked the engine there is fuel flow at that point, the reason I thought I wasn't getting fuel is because I took off one of the vacuum lines on the air intake going to the throttle body and I sprayed some starting fluid in it and cranked the engine ,it ran for a short time.spurting. then stopped.on this engine I can not find a fuel pressure port om the fuel rail to check the fuel pressure regulator, thanks for helping.
