Back on my 1989 ford festiva engine not starting problem I used a test light connected to the negative post of the battery and the test end to the fuel injector plug and there was no blinking of the test light while trying to start the engine, indicating no injector pulse. ?

Use a noid lite this will tell you if both wiring is good if the lite is pulsing, also if there's power on one side and injector is not pulsing-the problem is with the computer injector ground driver

usually, the fuel pump changes tone when it is out of gas? To confirm it is a fuel problem see if the engine will run on starting fluid.

Check out this it can help as well:
