Put a new throttle body on truck and now it won't stay running unless I give it gas. Shuts off if I take foot off gas pedal. I didn't have this problem before I put the new one on. What could it be?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

The first thing I suggest is rechecking all vacuum hoses on or around the area you worked. Make sure none are disconnected or got damaged.

If there are no leaks, I next suggest is to confirm it was adjusted correctly when installed. Here are the directions for adjustment. The attached pictures correlate with these directions.

THROTTLE VALVE OPENING, ADJUST

See Picture 1

Fig. 8 Adjusting secondary side throttle lever stopper (typical)
See Picture 2

1. Open throttle valves separately and check if throttle valves are perpendicular to flange surface when fully opened.
2. If throttle valves are not perpendicular to flange surface, adjust by bending respective throttle lever, stoppers at the primary side, Fig. 7 and at the secondary side, Fig. 8. After adjustment, make sure linkage operates smoothly.

Let me know if this helps.
