So I shut my car off and try to start it back up. It just acted like as if I were out of gas. It was clicking over, my lights go on, everything is good except for my alternator it had gunk all over it. Plus it was smoking two nights prior to do. The oil that was leaking on from the valve. I get my alternator rebuilt washed up put it in and it still does the same thing. Mechanic said there's no spark to start the engine. I have a brand new power steering pump, the alternators darn near brand new. All my lights go on there's gas in my car. I have the car listed above limited edition. It clicks over, it wants to start but it is like its out of gas. No smell no smoke, no engine light, so no code. Help me. Mechanic friend said crankshaft position sensor.

Hello,

It sounds like you could be in limp mode or the fuel pump or crankshaft sensor is not working. When you turn the key on without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump in the tank run for five seconds? Here are two guides to help us get started:

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/reduced-power-limp-mode

Please run down these guides and report back.
