Engine cranks but will not start

I changed the spark plugs and the distributor cap and went to start and cranks but wont fire up. I had driven the car a hour or so before I change the plugs and cap. Please help.

Hi,

The one thing I'm thinking is the plug wires were not re-installed correctly. Did you reinstall the spark plug wires in the same order as they were removed? Was the distributor rotor properly installed?

If you look at pic 1, it shows the firing order. That is how the plug wires need to be and which cylinder they go to. Also, confirm that the coil wire (location highlighted) is fully installed.

Also, if you look at pic 2, I circled a locking nut. Make sure the rotor is installed correctly and tight.

I got it to start. Thank you, but I do have one other question. When I bought the car it had a power problem when I got up hill it loses power and when I try to take off in first gear it feel like it wants to shut off and it's real sluggish. Can you help?
