Okay, so the truck listed above is a single cab pickup was wrecked a couple months ago and had no motor damage. So I fixed what body image there was. One of those being the hood and while waiting for a new hood it was not completely covered from the weather. This is just one factor I want you to consider in you mental diagnostic. So the truck ran fine and one night I had started it just to let it run for a minute and make sure lights worked and all that and during this time it shut off. No it's not out of gas the fuel pump runs and it gets fuel all the way to injectors. Now I do believe it will start with starting fluid however won't continue running. So it's getting fuel ignition works spark is there so what else could it be? Since the Airbags came out is there a safety shut off module or something I need to reset even though in ran a good ways after wrecked?

Can we clarify one thing you said? You said it was getting fuel but the truck will run for a second while using starter fluid. If that is the case then it is not getting fuel. How did you confirm the fuel is getting to the injectors?

We need to check the fuel pressure to confirm there is pressure at the rail.

Here is a guide that covers the basics of a no start.

Let's cover this stuff and go from there. Thanks

There is plenty of fuel getting to the injectors when the pump is running. I opened the line where you would connect gauges and it sprayed out with force. It’s like a safety feature or something that needs to be bypassed. Can you help me?

Okay. So if you have pressure at the rail but it starts using starter fluid gets it to start that means you have a security issue. This is called a fuel injection lock out. It does this when the BCM tells the PCM that it is not ok to start the vehicle. Then the PCM shuts down the fuel injection system.

Take a look at the attachments for more info. Is the theft light on or flashing? If so, we need to check for codes and go from there.
