I replaced water pump and made sure everything was good with it being a interference engine. I turned it over two full revolutions before starting it. It ran great until the road test and then it falls on its face at 2400 rpm's. I have a p0016 code and replaced CPS and cam sensor. Checked for power to both and get five volts. I have cleared the code but it still will not behave! I have torn the engine apart to check for jumped timing but both can sprockets come up perfectly good with the corresponding links. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I love this car any would like to see it back on the road.

Hello,

The code is a correlation problem which will cause the problem you have described. So its telling us that something is off, here are some diagrams (below) and a link to double check your work.

Please let us know what happens, we are interested to see what it is.
