If my transfer case had gone out my truck won’t move, but if I take the front drive shaft off will it drive using the back wheels.

Just so I am clear, if the front drive shaft is on the vehicle will not move but if you remove it it will move? If this is the case then the transfer case is locked up on the output side.

Unfortunately we will need to open it up and see what is wrong inside the unit. More than likely I suspect the front bearing of the driven gear are locked up causing it to not move.

Let me know if you have questions.
