When putting transmission into forward gears it revs high barely moves

Car goes in reverse. But when you put it in overdrive or D or 1 it revs up top 5,000 rpm and barely moved.

Hello,

Please check the level of the transmission fluid if okay I would try to service the unit. Here is a guide to show you how:

If this does not work it sounds like the transmission needs a rebuild. Please run down this guide and report back.
