Hello, I have the truck listed above short bed. I've troubleshot all electrical issues involving why the wipers aren't working. The washer pump works just the switch for the wipers won't do anything. Replaced fuses also the wiper motor. Wanted to bypass the switch and install a toggle switch. 4 wires which are white, orange, purple and gray. Wonder if anyone could assist on wiring up a toggle switch.

On this age of vehicle, you most likely have a wiring issue as they get brittle and high resistance so running new wires is a good idea.

However, I would try and run them to your existing switch. Just cut them a couple inches behind each connector and then run your own wires.

It could be a connection issue so you will want to check the connections and if they are ok then the wiring should work.

However, if you just want to run your own switch then the wiring diagram below will help with this.

Let me know what questions you have. Thanks
