My truck listed above is a 1500 single cab pickup. It will start and run but it won't turn off. We have to pull the fuse to turn off the engine. What could this be?

This could be an ignition switch issue but we need to test that. Do you have a scan tool that can monitor the ignition switch feed in the PCM? Basically we need to see when you turn the key if the PCM is seeing the key position change.

If the PCM is seeing the key but not shutting the engine off, then more then likely you have a TIPM issue. The TIPM is like the fuse box in the engine compartment but it has a control panel on it. These have been known to short out and cause issues.

Also we need to check for codes because if the PCM is seeing the ignition feed cut off and not cutting fuel and ignition then it could be the PCM.

I attached the process from the manual on the TIPM if this proves to be the issue.

Let us know if you have a scan tool or know someone that does so we can monitor the ignition feed and go from there.
