Check the fuse to the fuel line/filter heater fuse U (30A) in the under-hood fuse box. If the heater shorts and blows the fuse the light will not come on and you lose the glow plugs.
If you plug in the fuse and it blows you can unplug that heater, it is on top of the fuel filter under the hood.
If you plug in the fuse and it blows you can unplug that heater, it is on top of the fuel filter under the hood.
