When it is 20 degrees outside the truck will not idle. The tachometer bounces around and then it shuts off. I can keep my foot on the gas and have it revving to 2,000 RPM's to keep it from stalling. I will let it warm up for about 15 minutes and drive. Still when I pull up to a red light it will sometimes stall out. The colder it is the worse it is for stalling out. If it is ten degrees outside then it is almost for sure that it will stall at a red light. Have taken it to two different shops and it still has this problem. Anyone have the fix for this? Please share.

Good evening,

The idle is controlled by the idle air control valve and the throttle body.

Make sure the throttle is clean of all carbon. The base isle with the IAC disconnected is 500 RPM's. With the IAC hooked up, it should be 650 RPM's.
