So I changed injector for cylinder 4 as it was faulty, this problem had my car In limp mode and PCM light on! The car would be rough on start up and then lights come on and go into limp mode! Since changing the injector the car runs perfectly and not rough idle on start up! However as I drive the car and go through the gears it’ll lose power and jump back into limp mode with the PCM light and now engine light. Is this normal when the previous fault code hasn’t been cleared? Will clearing the fault codes sort this? Thanks! The car is a 1.4 tdci 2009 mk7.

This will not cause the vehicle to go back into limp mode. Once you repair the concern the code will go stored and will not cause any issues. So if you are still having the same issue, I would assume you still have an issue. Let us know what code you have and we will see what we can turn up. Thanks

Here is a guide that will help with that. Thanks
