They will bolt in but the thing you are looking for for is the electrical connector, they must be configured the same. Also, make sure the sensors are in the same place so you don't have extra wiring connectors, or not enough connectors. The 4 speed automatic transmission (4R55E) in the 1995 would interchange with the 1996. Provided it is the 4.0 OHV engine and not the newer overhead cam engine. A 1997 up to 2000 however would have the 5 speed automatic (5R55E) which will not interchange with the 4 speed because the electronics are different and those electronics also won't The 97-2003 versions from the SOHC engines also will not interchange to make those 5 speeds work in the older truck.
