My car began running rough a month or so ago, and 4 weeks ago it wouldn't start. The fuel pump only came on maybe once every tenth key turn, and it wouldn't catch when starting. I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pressure sensor, cam sensor, crank sensor, battery, all fuses & relays, yet my car still only intermittently gets a fuel pump activation, and I even replaced the 'computer brain' at a ridiculous cost, but still it sits uselessly in my garage. I'm frustrated beyond words. Please help me!

Hello,

Okay, so your fuel pump is only turning on one out of ten times. Let's see why. I am going to need you you to take a voltage reading at pin 85 of the fuel pump relay with the vehicle's ignition key in the "RUN" position. The fuel pump relay is located in the Under hood Fuse Box. I have included a diagram of it along with a callout, wiring diagrams of the fuel pump circuit along with the starting circuit in the diagrams down below for you. Here is a link on how to use a digital multi-meter (DMM), if needed, below:

Please take the reading and get back to us with what you find out. We will go from there.

Thanks,
Alex
