Why does the car shut down while running?

The car starts and runs good, but it just shuts down by itself out of nowhere.

Does it stall while moving or when coming to a stop? Does it sputter or anything when it dies?Also have you checked for codes in the computer?

It does it when in motion, it does not sputter when it dies. It dies like if I turned the key off and I have not checked for codes.

If you decide you would like to conduct the scan yourself here is a link to an article that features written step by step instructions and pictures explaining how to do the scan yourself, also I have included a link to our YouTube channel with a how to video on code scanning. Most scanners are inexpensive to purchase, you can purchase one online from sites like Amazon.com

I noticed in the link that the check engine light must me on. But in my car the check engine light is not on.
It was on at one point but no more.

There still can be codes even if the light is not on. They can be stored in memory.
