It's not registering as overheating but there is white smoke coming from up underneath the hood. Just replaced all spark plugs and replaced coil packs and wires. It also has a leaking heater core.

Hi,

If it is white smoke, there is a good chance it is coolant leaking onto the exhaust or a hot spot on the engine. Where is the heater core leaking? Is it into the vehicle or is it where the hoses attach under the hood of the vehicle? Also, if you open the hood, can you tell an approximate area where the steam is coming from? For example, front of the engine, behind the engine, near the radiator and so on.

If possible, record what is happening and upload it for me to see. Also, here is a link that explains how to locate and fix a coolant leak. I'm adding it in case you feel it could be a new leak.

Let me know.

Can you get a video of this? If this is white smoke then it is coolant burning off. Having just made a repair under the hood, is there any chance you disturbed the cooling system? If not, does the smoke seem to get better or worse the longer it runs? Lastly, can you locate the source of the smoke from under the hood? I imagine it is part of the exhaust that is burning it off but if we can find the location of it burning off then we can start to locate the source of the leak.

Let's start with this and go from there. Thanks

I started it later today, and it cranks don't want to fire up. No more smoke, thank goodness. I already replaced the battery, all coil packs and harness wires, I replaced all spark plugs, because AutoZone's machine say misfire #3.

Hi,

We will watch for the video. I have another question. When the smoke was present, did it have a sweet smell to it or did it smell like something electrical?

Let us know.
