Okay, so I know that usually the low pressure A/C port is usually near the fire wall and it is a bigger line with the new style 134A fitting. But in my case the new style 134 port is near the oil dipstick. It's on the bigger line. The one near the firewall is the old style female threaded port. Both ports have black caps. Does anyone know where to charge the system? Also, the compressor will kick on for about 3 seconds and kick off and after 10-20 seconds, it will do it again.

Good evening,

I posted a picture of the fitting. It is on the line from the compressor to the evaporator.

That fitting is the big one and doesn't fit on my recharge gauge but AutoZone told me that the smaller is always the low port. Especially since it's a 2007.

R134 is the same for all cars. The fitting is on the large line from the evaporator to the compressor. The small line is the high side.

I got ya. One more thing, the compressor kicks on for a quick second and goes off. It does this every 10 or so seconds. I checked the codes and the other code that was popping up is a faulty engine coolant temperature sensor (P0117). Could that be causing the compressor to do that?

No, codes are for fuel control issues. A/C system is not fuel control.

That may be the coolant sensor but has nothing to do with the A/C issue.

You need a set of gauges that will read both the high and low sides to monitor the pressure.

It may be low in Freon or the pressures may be off not allowing the compressor to stay activated.

I want to change out the ECT. Is there more than one ECT? When I look at the diagram, it shows 7. Where is the p0117?

There is only one coolant sensor. I attached a picture for you to view the location.
