What engine oil type

I have been reading online that all Ford Windstar's are 5W-20, but people have been using 5W-30. I live in Wisconsin, so what would be the best oil type for my van listed above?

Both should be fine to use. I like to run what the manufacturer says to run, unless there is a good reason not to.
