The problem started last week the engine light flashed on and the car ran rough for a couple minutes and then cleared up and ran okay. this happened a couple of times when the car was warming up mostly the engine light does not flash on now, but until the car warms up it skips and then runs ok but you can still feel a hesitation once in a while this morning during the warmup engine light flashed on and warning light that stabilization needed service then went off.

Hello,

Since the engine light comes on or is on, the first step would be scan and retrieve the error code(s). This can help with the diagnostics. As there are a number of reason for an engine to run rough or have hesitation.
You can take it to your local auto parts store, and they can scan and provide you with the codes.

Here is a helpful video:

Please let me know what code(s) got retrieve.
Thank you.

Hello, if the check engine light ever flashes it means the vehicle computer has a problem that can cause damage to the Catalytic Converter. The computer runs its own diagnostic ready tests during certain running times. But there should be a code stored in the computer if the light came on at all. It will go out if the computer can compensate for the issue enough. But it's not something you want to leave unchecked. If you go to your local parts store, they should be able to scan the vehicle for you and tell what codes are stored. Once you have the codes you can give them to us, and we can give you recommendations or you can take it your mechanic you trust.
There could be any number of different issues happening, low fuel pressure can cause this, multiple cylinder misfires, a bad catalytic converter. So, it's good to see what information is stored in the engine computer.
