I've been hearing a noise in the morning, well whenever I turn car on. I've notice when I leave ac knob on, when I go to turn car on it makes a rubbing noise or like a bearing noise. Any idea?

More than likely this is the compressor clutch engaging when the engine is turned on.

Can you get a recording of this noise?

More than likely it will need a compressor clutch or compressor. However, if we can get a recording then that will help us figure this out.

Please let us know but there is a bearing in the compressor so it makes sense that this is what it is.

You're welcome. Today I made sure A/C knob was set to off, and it made the same noise, but for like half a second. Other times it's a second or so. I will record noise and upload. Thank you sir.

Okay. That is good to know. It could still be compressor related but the way to confirm this is to take the belt off and make sure it does not do it when starting the engine with the belt off.

This way we know for sure it is pulley related, we just need to find which one.

However, if you want to leave it on and just get the recording, we may hear it and know exactly what it is so that may be the best place to start.
