Water/radiator light goes on and off

The radiator/water light keeps going on and off even though the water level is full and the temperature gauge reads appropriate. It only stays on for about 1 minute and then goes off and then will come on again later. Have checked the water level and its OK. The temperature gauge says the temperature is fine.

I recommend replacement of the expansion tank and inspecting the cooling system for possible issues.
The coolant level switch is within the expansion tank, it is a normal failure item
