My 2001 BMW 325 is dripping coolant where I can see it, but I don't know what the part thats leaking is. It isn't the radiator core, it appears to be a drain of some type, but it is not at the bottom of the radiator. Is there some type of diagram that will tel me what the part thats leaking is? It only drips with the engine running. The part is a rectangular container looking part, that is to the left of the fill port. It has a small "drain" looking plus at the bottom (white) and this is the point where coolant is leaking. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to Realoem. Com and look for an expansion tank in the cooling system section, that should take care of that issue, is there anything else we can do for you?

I think the drip is coming from the "LEVELING SWITCH" in the bottom of the expansion tank. Now all I need to know is this something I can replace myself or should I have someone at a repair facility do it? I have some limited experience on work of this type, but I am no way an experienced mechanic.

It is the expansion tank leaking and you may need help. It is not an easy task.
