The fuses are good. I believe its the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) but am not 100 percent sure where it's located. Does anyone know?

I am attaching the vehicle speed sensor location but just so I understand, these issues all happened at the same time or did you just notice it? I suspect these are separate issues so let's address them one at a time and if we fix all them at the same time then that is just a bonus.

Let's start with the speedometer as that may be the speed sensor.

I attached the location. However, let's start with checking for codes. I am hoping you have a P0501 and we can go from there.

There is no check engine light on. I was told at AutoZone that they can't read a code with no check engine light? Not sure if that is true. The car is one I just bought and so I am not sure if it happened all at once but I do know that there is one fuse for the reverse lights and the VSS. So I assumed after some research that that is the issue.

Okay. That is not true. Just because the light is not on, doesn't mean there are no codes.

However, with that info, I would just go to the speed sensor and make sure it is connected and if it is, replace it and go from there.
