My car will cutoff when trying to start or will run for a little bit and cutoff when trying to start. Tried three times this morning Monday Nov 1st and the 4th time it stay started. Drove in to work. Tried starting the car when I arrived at work it started up. The electronic throttle module was replaced on 1/21/2010 by the Volvo dealership.

Thoughts and suggestions will be appreciated.

TRY A DIFFERENT KEY, IT SOUNDS LIKE A FAULT IN EITHER THE IMMOBILIZER OR THE KEY. IF THE CAR STARTS WITH THE 2ND KEY, THE FIRST KEY MAY BE FAULTY. IF THE ENGINE IS NOT STARTING WITH BOTH KEYS, IT MAY BE AN ISSUE IN THE IMMOBILIZER/ANTENNA RING.
