2006 Volvo S60 PASSENGER AIR BAG INDICATOR

When driving and having a passenger in the seat the airbag indicator on the rear view mirror will go on indicating that the airbag is off.

How do I correct this situation?

The problem may be corrected by upgrading the supplimental restraint system module software if one is available? Volvo would need to scan for codes and diagnose first to see. Look in your owners manuel to see what warranty is on supplimental restraints or call Volvo to find out? You may still have warranty on that?
