I do not have a description for 2005... this description and diagrams is for the 2004 model .. i don't know if this will help at all ??

Removal & Installation (Driver-side)
Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
Using a Torx screw driver with a shank diameter of 0.2 inches (5 mm) and length of at least 2.4 inches (60 mm), release driver-side air bag module retaining clips from underside of steering wheel. See Fig. 3 . Disconnect driver-side air bag module connectors. See Fig. 4 . Remove driver-side air bag module.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure driver-side air bag module is attached securely to retaining clips. Activate air bag system.

Iv'e checked diagrams upto 2007 V40 and they are all showing the same steering module release system. I'm going to check backwards see if I can find a different type?

To remove air bag go in with a flat tip screw driver. A pocket screw driver works good for me. Turn wheel to get the access hole up at 12 O'Clock and stick fat tip inside and feel for the release tab. Next pry up on screwdriver for the blade to push down on release clip and pop out that side. Turn wheel the other way and repeate previouse steps. To install bag back in just push in and honk LOL. Good luck.
