- Item that have been replaced.

1) Ingintion Starter Switch (new) at Volvo Dealer
2) The "Starter twice. Still

Volvo 850 1995 intermittently wont start Always turns over After sitting a while it starts up fine. It seems that Volvo does not know how trobleshoot the electrical wiring system. If it bolts on and off that all they know. Oh, when they replaced both the Starter Switch and Starter (they both tested good). Whats up.

May be the heutral safety switch or trans position switch whichever they call it.Nesxt time it wont start, you need to test for power at the small wire on the starter. If nothing it may be the alarm relay in the central power box, left rear of engine compartment.Need to get to tehign switch, the green/red wire is the start trigger, see if it powers up when key is in crank position
