1993 Volvo 850 Car stalls

While I am driving my car it will suddenly lose power and I coast to a stop and it shuts off. I have to turn the ignition off and let it set for a couple of minutes then it will start back up. Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing this problem? This is the 5 cylinder and it doesn't give an option for that in the selection page.

When it wont start, what is missing? Spark or fuel pressure. Sounds like fuel starvation the way it winds down, then has to possibly let the pump cool off before it will run again. You will need to check those 2 basic things first
