My volvo, while driving down the road, just stopped.
I do most of the wortk on the car and this has me stumped. There is no spark to the plugs. The coil checks out fine and there is voltage to the coil. I don't know what to check next. Please send any advice you might have.

On the rear of engine in the tranny bell housing you have a sensor
I think Volvo calls it ignition impulse sensor (crank sensor )
check /replace it
check also the relay under hood by the right shock
good luck

It turned it as was simple as replacing the cap and roter. A little oil had tainted the inside of the cap and fouled the connection. Thanks for the suggestion though.
