EPC Light 2001 VW Beetle L4 1.8L Auto AZG

My epc light comes on when a grey connector by my oil dipstick is moved. The connector has 3 small wires coming out of it with some partial breakage. Do you happen to know what this connector is called? I can't splice it together because it is to close to the connector so I wanted to see if I could get another.

Im not 100% positive but I believe that is your Knock Sensor. Let me know if this helps!

Thanks for your time and answer I think you may be right. Now I need to find out about getting the female connector to the knock sensor wire.

You should be able to find everything you need to repair it at your local Auto Parts store! Just make sure to disconnect the negative battery terminal before doing any electrical work on your car! Dont want you to hurt yourself, or damage any electrical components! Hope this helps!
