Failure diagnosis, timing belt failed causing valve damage in the head. Repair will require rebuilding the head to include valves. Engine (1.8 turbo) block and pistons OK. Estimate is $4,600.00 to rebuild head, parts and labor. Is this a common failure and is this estimate of cost realistic? Will this timing belt failure cause this extensive damage?
