2002 Volkswagen Jetta mil engine light code P0322

Had the code read for my 02 jetta when the light came on. Code p0322 came up( ignition distributor engine speed input circuit) Car stalls at sudden stops, but restarts with a little hesitation. Research that I have done leads me to the ckp sensor(crank sensor) what is your take on this, and where is it located on the engine. I have the 2.0 engine. Thanks

I know this is an old post, but if someone else is reading this.

The engine speed sensor or crankshaft position sensor is located
to the right of the oil filter housing. The sensor is bolted to
the engine block via a single bolt.
