2000 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a 4dr 2001 vw jetta, last night I locked the doors with the key. Today inserted key onto front driver door lock, turn it to open, front r door lock went up, but the rest of the locks did not, and tried to unlock the rest with the lock switch and did noting, notice that the light next to the lock pin, has a flashing, light, so im guessing the alarm is still on. Had this problem before, but was fixed by hitting the door right next to where the key is inserted, and that would fix the problem, but now I whacked it for like a min and still not working. Could it be the door lock module, or what could it be?

Yes. This can be the locking module. This is called the central locking module and basically what happens is when you use the key in the door, the switch tells the driver door control module that the key was used, and it unlocks the other doors.

So, to check this we need to check the voltage coming from the switch to the module and find out if it is sending the signal.

If it is not then the switch could be the issue, but if it is then we need to replace the driver door module.

Please see the wiring diagrams below and we can go from there after you check the voltage.

Let me know if you have questions. Thanks
