Hello,

I own a 2000 VW Golf and my problem is with the AC system. I don't get any cool air so I bought a self-charging kit with a pressure guage and when I hooked it up to the valve on the larger diameter hose like the manufacturer told me to the pressure registered 100 psi. The charging system manufacturer states that there is something else wrong with my AC and to have the vehicle serviced. What could be causing such a high pressure in the system. My goal is to fix this myself.
Thank you for your help.

The AC has not worked for more than a year. I procrastinate and have been broke. The AC was on MAX when I checked the pressure and I am very confident the compressor was on. The charging system I bought had it's own guage.

Thanks for the help. I'll look around for the professional guage set and if I find one I'll submit a new question with the high and low readings. With a donation of course.
