Vehicle stalling out while driving

Vehicle will run then as you are driving it will stall out. Some times it starts right back up but other times it has taken a while for it to restart. The check engine light was on and it flagged a new gas cap and I replaced that and still having this problem.

The two most common problem for this issue is fuel pump and crankshaft angle sensor.

When the engine stalls turn the key off then turn it to the on position without cranking the engine over do you hear the fuel pump in the tank? If so I am thinking it is the crankshaft angle sensor. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when doing the job:
