Hi! I'm new here! I just have a question, does anyone of you know what that mean is? Because I got into an accident then "vehicle stability control system" came out on my screen before I crashed. Does anyone of you experience the same thing?

Hi,

Is that the only indicator that is shown or is the ABS light on as well as traction control? Also, if this happened before an accident, it should be covered under a manufacturer's warranty.

As far as the light, does it say on or off? I ask because they are designed to indicate when the stability control is off.

I can tell you that in most cases, any of the lights I mentioned, including the stability control, can be caused by a faulty wheel speed sensor. Also, low brake fluid can turn them on as well.

Let me know as much as you can. Also, let me know how bad the accident was and where the vehicle was hit. One last thing, because the vehicle is so new, I do recommend having the can-bus scanned for codes.

CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, the different computers/modules are tied together via a few wires and communicate with each other. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Let me know.

Before and after the accident everything is okay in dashboard, there is no light that is on.

The passenger side hit the three.

If the Stability control is on, then I would start with scanning it. If you are unable to do that, then start by testing the wheel speed sensors. Also, make sure the brake fluid is full.

To check a wheel speed sensor, all you need is a voltmeter or multimeter.
