Hello, hope someone can help me. I have been trying to replace the solenoid as well as the hose but everywhere I look the hose is 2-3 times longer then the original 18 inch hose. Picture provided for reference.

The longer hose is because GM keeps relocating the filter assembly in the hopes of finally getting it to a spot it doesn't draw in as much junk to cause the valve to stick. The new parts should come with a bracket that lets you relocate the filter and a replacement harness to fit the new valve connection. The original parts are NLA because of those updates.

Got it. Thank you so much. Does that mean the original charcoal canister needs to be replaced as well?

It shouldn't need to be. The fitting on the valve should fit without a problem, then you just need to route the new filter. The filters are a joke in the long run as even the newest valves go bad after a few years because moisture still gets to the solenoid shaft.
