My friend as is a single mother of four. The vehicle listed above was 150,000 miles. She says has been a great car but recently it has died on her twice which left her stranded. After using it every day all of a sudden, she gets in it, and it says unknown driver and makes a clicking sound when she starts to turn the motor on. When I looked it up and checked and checked the first couple grounds, I got it to crank but no power windows power locks or radio to come on or the A/C. I got to start and run every time I change the ignition switch and pulled out the steering wheel lock because it was getting really hot to the touch, but even though it’s running the windows won’t roll down, the locks don’t work, radio Reza comes on. I’ll check the wiring harness in it in the back liftgate backgrounds on by the battery and I haven’t seen any wires. I’ve changed a couple of the grounds in the engine compartment and checked all fuses, but still nothing. I need help. Thank you

There are a number of possible causes of this, so we need to start with checking for codes and find out what is there.

If you have codes, then we can address those first.

However, if you don't have any codes then we need to check the battery and make sure it is not drained.

I have seen a couple of times where battery issues will cause this odd issues so we need to make sure it can pass a load test.

Let's start with these things and go from there.

Thanks
