Thermostat went bad after installing a turbo whistle

Well, awhile back I got one of those exhaust turbo whistles for my car. After putting it on I made sure my exhaust still had breathing room. After a week I was heading home all the sudden I seen white smoke. Come to find out my thermostat went bad. Never had any issue with overheating after having the car for 4 years until I had the whistle in but I remind you I did have it in my car for a week before this happened. Could this just be a normal thermostat issue or did the turbo whistle have anything to do with it? Thanks

Just so we are on the same page, can you get a picture of the whistle so that I am sure we are talking about the same thing? Or just confirm that the picture I attached is what you are talking about? Does it go in the tailpipe?

If this is it, then this has nothing to do with the thermostat and you just have another issue that you need to correct.

I'm in the process of changing my parking lights to green but it uses socket 3057. How or what's the best way to convert to 194 socket for canbus?
