My truck shut off and will not crank up. What would cause this?

Good morning.

This sounds like the crankshaft angle sensor or the fuel pump has gone out, when you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds?

Please run down this guide and report back.

The guide showed a bad PCM does the theft module have to match the PCM and key or can I leave that alone?

Theft module should be good. Just the PCM and programming.

No, the PCM has to be changed. Your existing key will be programmed to the replacement PCM. No need to replace anything else.
