A few months ago my truck started randomly dying we thought I was the fuel pump or fuel filter so we replaced them to no avail as time went on it got worse to the point that it wouldn't even start. So we took it to a mechanic to see if they could figure it out. The problem, they replaced the starter & spider injector and tested several others before they gave up. We have also tried replacing the computer, fuel pump relay and testing the ignition coil it tested fine). I'd really like to get this figured out any help would be appreciated.

Frst check to see if you get a good spark at spark plug then check fuel pressure autoparts ren the gauge shold be 55-61 psi key on engine off. Check ecm batt and ecm ign fuses infuse panel. If no spark see if coil wire to dist cap is throwing spark if it is it could be a dist issue like a rotor or cap. Try unplugging the knock sensors they are on both sides of engine see if engine starts. If it does then one of the wires leading to the sensor may be shorted out causing it to not start.

I also screwed up a little on this as I looked up wrongmodel but shold be same for yours. But, check the ground strap from engine to chassis if it looks corroded replace it it may be the problem along with see if the map sensor is bad or plugged. If that is bad it won't start.
