Found no power to the fuse box now. No ignition, lights or anything. Where does the power come from that makes the fuse box hot? I have been told that a fusible link has
probably blow out. But I've been told it comes from the alternator
and I have been told it comes from the starter.

Hello my name is Dave.

It does sound like it is highly likely it is a fusible link, they are on the starter on your truck, if you follow the positive cable down to the starter you will find the fusible link(s).
