Where is the transmission TCM located?

The transmission shifts only up to 2nd gear sometimes, other times feels like it gets to 3rd or maybe 4th.

Hi,

If the fluid is clean and full, I recommend having the can-bus scanned to see if there are codes related. However, most times a TCM will set a P0700 indicating it has informed the PCM of an issue and to turn on the check engine light. (CEL)

Is the CEL on? If it is, have it scanned.

If you can't get that type of scanner, see if you can borrow a basic scan tool from a local parts store. Most will lend one to you.

Also, I believe the control module is internal on this vehicle. I attached a pic below that shows the connector on the right side of the transmission.
