Will transmission from 2005 Escape fit a 2001 Escape both are v6 4x4 cd4e?

The only difference may be the electrical connection and or placement of sensors/switches. One or two sensors may have been added to newer transmission.

Match them up side by side see if they are the same especially the electrical connections. Car makers change connections for one reason or another.
