When you take off from a complete stop if the van isn't above 3,200 RPM's before 30 MPH and only slips like this at the 30 MPH does not do it. At any other speed it doesn't want to catch third. I don't think it's grabbing fourth at all because when it does grab and it gets up to speed it's running at 5,300 RPM's at 60 MPH. Could it be the speed sensor?

We need to start with checking the fluid for the condition and level. As long as this is ok, then I suspect we have an issue with the valve body. However, I think we will find the fluid is burnt. If this is the case, we need to start with servicing the transmission in hopes that it will improve the operation. Here is a guide that will help with this. I also attached the process from the manual below so that you can review that as well.

If the fluid is burnt then I suspect we have a clutch issue and if the new fluid does not solve it then we are going to need to rebuild the transmission.

These 41TE units are great transmissions but when they burn a clutch, they get worse and worse until they just don't move anymore in any gear.

Let run through this and see what we find. Thanks
