While driving transmission seems like it went into neutral

While driving transmission seems to have gone into neutral, no warning. Cannot get it to go into any gear.

Good afternoon.

Check the fluid level.
Does it go into reverse?
Change transfer case selections and see if it goes into gear.
How does the fluid look? Is it red or brown? When the last time you have the oil/filter changed on the transmission?
