Transmission problems

I have the vehicle listed above smarttrak.I've owned for 4 years never had any problems with until a few days ago. I jacked the rear of vehicle to install lift shackles when I got in truck fired it up put it in reverse gases on it it moved about 3 feet. Then made grinding noise now all it does when I put in reverse it makes a humming noise sounds like coming from front differential but I still have all forward gears.

Did you only install the lift shackles in the rear? How large are they? I find it hard to believe that this is a coincidence so we may need to uninstall them just to confirm reverse comes back. Then we can figure out why you have an issue in reverse only if shackles are the issue.

If they are not then we can go after possible causes. We will need to firm up if it is in the transfer case or transmission. So is it possible to get a recording of the news?
