Transmission will not shift into third gear or overdrive

My truck won’t shift into 3rd or overdrive it just stays in 2nd won’t even try to shift into third. Would it maybe be the solenoids?

Good morning,

Yes, it could be the 2-3 shift solenoid. If it is bad, the overdrive will not function.

I attached a picture of the location with the pan off for you. You need to verify power to the solenoid with the key on first.
